Chicken Soup

Nothing beats homemade chicken soup when the house is full of snotty nosed kids and a man flu husband!

To make simply fill a large pot with water and add a whole chicken. Cook for 1.5 hours and then remove chicken. Take meat off the bones and save meat for later (this prevents meat going dry). Put bones back in pot and cook for a further 2 to 24 hours.


Sieve bones out and keep the broth. Add back meat, some chopped celery, carrots and onion. Also add some some chopped parsley and salt and pepper to taste. Cook for further 30 mins.


Done!
