Oat & Date Slice

This decadent little number is the perfect treat for when you need to curb a sugar craving. Best to make when you have people coming over.... so you don't eat it all!!


Ingredients 250g chopped dates 1 egg 125g butter 140g honey 100g coconut 125g rolled oats 25g slivered almonds 25g chia seeds


1.Melt butter and honey in a saucepan over gentle heat, add the beaten egg and chopped dates. Boil for 5 minutes. Add the coconut, almonds, chia seeds and rolled oats. 2. Cool mixture slightly. 3. Press into a lined slice tin, cut into inch square pieces and put in the fridge.
